The 7th Beat the Banana Charity Run
Close to 1,000 people took part in the 7th annual WCRF HK Beat the Banana Run on Sunday 4th March. Thank you for the fantastic support of runners & sponsors which has helped to raise HK$963,239. ~ Colours of Hope Tribute Page – In memory of Mdm Chui Sit Mui ~
It can be very disheartening to watch dear friends or loved ones suffering from cancer, having to walk a deathly and painful journey all alone. We, like helpless bystanders, can do nothing to alleviate their pain, nor can we share their pain even if we want to.
Although the causes of cancer are still not completely understood, science tells us that we can all take steps to lower our risk of developing the disease. By supporting World Cancer Research Fund Hong Kong (WCRF HK) with a modest contribution, we can fund more scientific research to help us understand more about cancer and thus bring “Colours of Hope” to a cancer-free future.
This web page is set up with the kind assistance of WCRF HK in fond memory of our dear mother Mdm Chui Sit Mui, who after months of suffering in her old age, passed away peacefully on a very beautiful sunny afternoon on Sat/15Oct/2011 at the Saint Teresa Hospital. She too was a victim of cancer.
千色生命紀念網頁 – 紀念崔雪梅女士
親愛的母親崔雪梅女士已於2011年10月15日在聖德肋撒醫院病逝。母親離去時雖然很安祥，但是多個月來一直被癌魔折磨，獨自承受了很多的痛楚。我們只可以無助地為她祝福及祈禱，但是沒有能力去減輕或分擔她的痛苦。感恩她現在可以安息了
雖然專家們還未完全了解癌症的產生，但他們已掌握到防癌的一些方法。他們的工作需要財政上的支持，但願我們一些微薄的力量可讓他們完全投入防癌研究，讓我們為零癌症的未來燃點希望。
媽咪，我們永遠懷念您。
