The 7th Beat the Banana Charity Run
Close to 1,000 people took part in the 7th annual WCRF HK Beat the Banana Run on Sunday 4th March. Thank you for the fantastic support of runners & sponsors which has helped to raise HK$963,239. Bó Lè Associates Ltd.
Fruity Friday at Bó Lè Associates (www.bo-le.com) was a resounding success, and will be much missed. Together, Bó Lè staff members and our sister non-profit organization Giving Hand (www.givinghand.net) donated a total of HK$13,300 to the cause. Giving Hand’s mission is to facilitate corporations to donate unsold products to needy charities. This spirit of generosity, clearly, is what made us the top fundraising corporation. Our Group Managing Director Louisa Wong subsequently sponsored us for four Fruity Fridays. For four consecutive Fridays, we went around shopping for a whole array of delicious fruits, and even health products like yogurt. Our entire office joined in and partook of the treats. Doubtless, this event did much to raise consciousness on the importance of cancer research, and on healthy living.
