Here are some “energizing” activity ideas to help you organise your very own Move More Day on 30 June whilst raising valuable funds for WCRF HK’s cancer prevention work.

  • Make it a “Use the Stairs” day and ask staff to take the stairs instead of lifts or escalators whenever possible.
  • Organise a lunchtime walking group for a 15-minute brisk walk around the office area.
  • Organise a “Walk the Talk” day and encourage staff to walk up to another colleague to speak to him/her instead of using the phone.
  • Organise a “dress down” or “sportswear” day – encourage staff to wear comfortable shoes or sportswear to make it easy for staff to move around more in the office on the day.
  • Introduce “Stressless Stretch” – encourage staff to incorporate a few simple stretches in between bouts of sedentary work every 60 minutes to release stress.
  • Encourage staff to get off one stop earlier (if taking the public transport) and walk the rest of the way to work, or encourage staff to park further away from the office (if driving to work) and walk the extra distance. You may consider introducing flexi working hours on the day to facilitate staff doing this.
  • Set up a dart competition by asking staff to form teams for some “mini contests” among themselves.
  • Organise a sit-up/push up mini contest for colleagues to join.

Sounds a lot of fun? Sign up now and enjoy an energy-packed day on Move More Day on 30 June!

Join our Fruity Friday too on 24 June to develop a “fruity” and healthy eating habit in your office!
